The Investor Relations Manager plays an increasingly important role in publicly traded companies and continues to grow in stature and remuneration.

His/Her main responsibilities are:

• 1. Interfacing with Investors and Analysts - communicate with investors and analysts regarding company strategy, operations, and financial performance.
• 2. Managing Quarterly Conference Calls and Earnings Releases - Lead the senior management team (CEO, CFO…) in formal disclosure of financial performance; prepare press releases, in most cases regulatory filings.
• 3. Investor Targeting - Identify and pursue potential new investors
• 4. Supporting Senior Management and the Board of Directors - Update the senior management team and the Board of Directors on shareholder priorities and concerns.
• 5. Strategic Planning - Represent the voice of the investor in high-level, strategy-setting discussions with senior management.
• 6. Setting Communication Policies - Meet with peer executives to ensure consistent messaging and appropriate disclosure.

Most of Investor Relations Managers report directly to the CEO or CFO
